The Ph.D. program in Kinesiology prepares students to become teachers, researchers, and leaders in the area of Exercise Science in University settings.
Ph.D. level graduate students in Kinesiology are required to complete a minimum of 96 graduate credit hours beyond the baccalaureate, including an eighteen hour Research and Statistical requirement and Exercise Science Core and Field of Study requirements.
Concentrations in Exercise Science and Pedagogy are available.
(A minimum of 18 hours approved by doctoral advisory committee.)
The student, in consultation with the doctoral advisory committee, will identify further course work comprising a field of study in kinesiology and consistent with the goals and objectives of the student and institution. Course work may be selected from several related disciplines or a single discipline.
