For acceptance to the master's degree program in physical education the program area requires, in addition to the general requirements for admission to the Graduate School, an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology or in a related field and the following admission standards: an overall undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or greater on a 4.0 scale on all courses undertaken prior to receiving the baccalaureate degree. If the overall undergraduate GPA is between 2.70 and 2.99, the applicant must have a 3.00 GPA on the last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework or a minimum GRE score of 297 on the combined verbal and quantitative parts of the test to be considered for admission. Priority deadline dates for admission consideration are June 15 for Fall, April 1 for Summer, and Nov. 15 for Spring.

Standardized test scores, such as the Graduate Record Examination may be required for program admission if the applicant has an undergraduate GPA below 3.0. Letters of recommendation are not required for program consideration.
