Admission Requirements

For acceptance to the Master of Science program in Exercise Science, the program area requires, in addition to the general requirements for admission to the Graduate School, an undergraduate degree in kinesiology or in a related field and the following admission standards: an overall grade-point of 3.00 or if the overall undergraduate GPA is between 2.70 and 2.99, the student must have a 3.00 GPA on the last 60 hours of undergraduate course work (excluding student teaching), or a minimum GRE score of 297 on the verbal and quantitative parts of the general test.

M.S. Admission Deadlines:

  • Summer and Fall — March 1
  • Spring — Nov. 1

Preference will be given to those applications received prior to the deadline, but applications received after the deadline may be reviewed on a case by case basis. Priority consideration for graduate assistantship positions is Jan. 15.

Note — Submission of GRE scores is required for program consideration for all graduate degree programs.
